Lake Region State College, Devils Lake, is a 1500 student-centered, open acess, comprehensive community college within the ND University System.  The college provides quality academic education, vocational/technical training, workforce training, educational outreach opportunities and life-long learning. 

The ND University System is made up of 11 public colleges and universities including two doctoral-granting institutions, two master's-granting institutions, two universities offering baccalaureate degress and five campuses that offer associate and technical degrees.  Each institution is unique in its mission to serve the people of North Dakota.

North Dakota State University Langdon Research Extension Center , a mile east of Langdon, was established in 1907. The 710 acre center conducts research in a nine county area designed to maintain and improve northeastern North Dakota's vital agriculutural economy. In 2004, the Vic Strulaugson Learning Center was constructed on the grounds of the Center. The facility provides new office space for scientists and aministration, a computer cluster classroom and a large meeting room. The Center is now positioned to meet producers and rural communities' needs into the 21st century.
