Quality of Life
What can you say about the quality of life in a place that lists hunting and fishing as major industries?  Along with small town friendliness, you’ll find big town amenities.  Area casinos offer big name entertainment.  Community theatrical and musical groups provide frequent performances and there are many other cultural and historical events, from ballets to pow wows.  You haven’t seen sports until you’ve seen Class B basketball!  Plus, we are just a short distance to larger cities and a whole other country for that occasional get-away.

Healthcare
A full range of health care services is vital to a secure future for the Devils Lake Region Partnership communities, and we are fortunate to be served by hospitals and clinics in Cando, Devils Lake, Langdon and Rolla.  Our medical centers are enhanced by satellite clinics in the smaller communities, ambulance and quick response teams, visiting specialists, health and wellness programs and partnerships with medical centers that are located in major urban cities.

Long-term care facilities are located throughout the region as well.  In addition, the Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota plays a key role through its’ mission of “connecting resources and knowledge to strengthen the health of people in rural communities
