The rapid advancement of agricultural technology in the past 15 years has doubled and tripled the average farm size. Our warm days and cool nights consistently allow the region to lead in the production of wheat, canola, flax and sunflowers. New opportunities exist in animal ag development, canola crushing, biofuels and the 2007 construction of North Dakota's largest wind farm. Our communities are booming due to energy and agriculture revenues, creating a positive atmosphere for future development in athe areas of biomass, wind and value-added processing.
